Ukrainian kamikaze drone strikes inhabitant tower near Moscow
The attack occurred early in the morning, hitting the 17th floor of the building. Photos from the site show significant damage. Governor Vorobyov reported that a 34-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was treated and discharged from the hospital. A pregnant woman, affected by severe stress, remains under medical observation in a prenatal care unit. Both she and her baby are reported to be in stable condition.
Media outlets indicated that the destroyed apartment was unoccupied at the time of the strike.
Vorobyov and Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that three long-range Ukrainian drones were intercepted over Moscow Region during the night. Such drone attacks have become a routine tactic for Kiev, with the number of drones launched varying from over 100 to as few as 20 in recent incidents.
Krasnogorsk, a city of approximately 190,000 residents, hosts key regional institutions, including the legislature, high court, and administrative offices, all located within five kilometers of the damaged residential building.
While Ukrainian officials claim their drone strikes target military facilities, Russia continues to investigate alleged attacks on civilian infrastructure and non-combatants. Moscow accuses Kiev of resorting to terrorist tactics as Ukrainian forces struggle to contain Russian advances on the battlefield.
